Andy's clinic is based in Cardiff Bay and is conveniently situated near the Cardiff Bay link road (A4232), providing easy access to the M4 and City routes. We have ample free parking available right outside the clinic, making your visit as stress-free as possible. The clinic is located directly opposite The Nuffield private hospital, allowing us to collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals.
Appointments are available Monday to Thursday. You can attend the clinic in person or choose to have your therapy online.
clinical appointments
Each clinical appointment lasts for approximately 50 minutes. You'll be met at the clinic by the friendly reception team, and will be able to relax in the waiting area prior to your appointment. Andy will come to collect you from the reception at your appointment time.
Andy's clinic is based on the ground floor to the right of reception. The whole building including the entrance and parking is wheelchair accessible. If you have any special requirements please ask Andy when making your appointment, and he'll do his best to accommodate any special requests.
Online therapy using an application such as Skype, WhatApps and FaceTime has been proven to be as effective as in-person sessions, and with the added benefit of you choosing your surroundings and location. You can also choose a telephone session for your convenience.
Online therapy can be an amazing and worthwhile support system — particularly in a time of crisis. The growing popularity of online therapy offers an added level of convenience to the patient. Research consistently shows that online treatment can be very effective for many mental health issues. A recent study published in the Journal of Psychological Disorders found that online therapy is, "effective, acceptable and practical health care." The research found the therapy was equally as effective as in-person treatment for major depression, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and generalised anxiety disorder, as well many other mental health conditions.
Some patients are choosing to alternate between in-person and online sessions, which allows the continuity of therapeutic work to fit into busy life-styles, and those unable to visit a clinic. Andy works with many international patients allowing anyone, and anywhere to access mental health support.

payment
Each payment is made in advance of a therapy session - at the time of booking. You can pay by cash, Mastercard, Visa debit or credit card. Cheque payments are not accepted.
missed appointments & cancellations
All missed appointments are payable at the usual fee. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours weekday notice are also charged at the session fee rate. We're happy to reschedule your appointment with at least 48 hours weekday notice. Should you cancel your initial appointment at anytime (for any reason), the full session fee is payable, and cannot be postponed.

claim on your insurance
Certain private healthcare insurance policies may cover part or all of the cost of your treatment. Some providers will even cover you for pre-existing mental health conditions. Check your policy information or contact your insurance provider direct for more details on how you can claim for psychological therapies.
Fees paid by insurance providers, employee assistance programmes (eap), court and legal instructions differ from patient paid fees.
All communication with the clinic is processed in the strictest confidence, and in line with regulatory body procedures.
