The terms of booking will be discussed with you whilst making your appointment. The payment of your first session is your agreement to the 'terms' of the booking.
All missed appointments are payable at the usual fee. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours (Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays do not count towards this) notice are also charged at the session fee rate. We’re happy to reschedule your appointment with at least 48 hours notice.
(a) an administration charge of £15.00 is payable for each cancellation where a refund is processed
(b) the full fee is payable where a block of sessions are cancelled (3 or more)
(c) on the third consecutive cancelled session the full fee is payable
(d) should you cancel your initial appointment at anytime (for any reason), the full session fee is payable, and cannot be postponed

It is agreed that the content of our work together will be conducted in accordance with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society's (NCPS) Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Should during the course of our work together, I consider that you are likely to endanger or cause harm to either yourself or another person, I retain the right to consult or inform an outside authority. For example, these may include your GP or the Police. I will endeavour to inform you of my decision and explain my reasons why prior to carrying out this action.
However, I retain the right to do so without prior consultation with you should I consider that the urgency of the situation requires me to act immediately to safeguard the physical safety of yourself or others. The therapy and support offered is contained within the boundary of each paid clinical session, and cannot be extended outside of that agreement.
The efficacy of all therapies is dependent on individual patient responses.
It is expected that the session will begin at the agreed time. Any session that begins after this time due to late arrival for whatever reason cannot be extended beyond the agreed finish time.
Each appointment is paid one in advance. Initially by visa debit or credit card, and then, either cash, visa debit or credit card at the conclusion of each session for private individuals. Payments by invoice for Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) company/agency schemes etc. Pre-paid clinical sessions cannot be refunded, however alternative appointments can be made at your convenience.
All 'patient' correspondence will be responded to as a matter of priority. Should investigation be deemed necessary, a maximum of 28 days response time, in the first instance may be required.

It may also be possible that our work together may have successfully highlighted the need for me to recommend a referral to your GP for possible medication/or referral to another NHS consultant.
The service offered is confidential and notes are kept during therapy. Paper records are destroyed after 6 months from your last appointment in line with NCPS guidelines. Electronic information is kept on file containing your contact details, any medical information collected and session notes from each visit. Patients are given the option to opt-in to having their email addresses entered into a secure newsletter database managed by the Clinical Director (Andy Garland), and can be opted–out at any time.
No information is shared or sold with any marketing organisation.

Respect and kindness is offered to you and expected in return. The clinic prides itself on being caring, compassionate and understanding, as well as bringing a wealth of mental health experience and knowledge to the practice.
It is rare, though on occasions we experience threats, both physical and passive aggressiveness, and outright rudeness. This won't be tolerated, and will be addressed with the individual or, if necessary, reported to the Police.
Should this arise throughout the course of your treatment we will highlight this to you, and should it continue we will discuss the ending of your sessions, and do our best to make a referral to a suitable alternative therapist.
In this event no refund will be made for any completed therapy sessions.
The level of fees is reviewed once per year and if any changes are deemed necessary each patient will be given at least 2 months notice before they take effect.
Each clinical session lasts for 50 minutes. The amount of sessions required is dependent on each individual case and this will be discussed with the patient at the first session and can be reviewed throughout the process.
Clinical supervision is conducted in accordance with the NCPS guidelines for supervised patient-work and is attended by Andy Garland on a monthly basis.
All therapeutic interventions are offered with the discretion and professional knowledge of the therapist. Where therapy is deemed inappropriate, this will be discussed with the patient and alternative suggestions may be made.
Our vitamin injections are prescription only medications. A full medical history and informed consent is required before treatment can go ahead. You may be required to seek advice from your G.P prior to treatment, and it is our advice that you inform your G.P of any treatment received by us. Alternatives are always discussed, and we may refuse treatment if you're unsuitable. No results or outcomes can be guaranteed as each person can respond differently to the same treatment.
