The Hypno-Gastric Band is a very powerful method to treat emotional overeating and to create a new attitude towards food and weight reduction. The principle of the therapy is that the patient is convinced at a subconscious level that a gastric band operation has been performed.
The Hypno-Gastric Band does not involve any surgery, though applies the proven techniques of Clinical Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and advanced Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques.
how does it work?
The principle of the therapy is that the patient is convinced at a subconscious level that a gastric band operation has been performed. The subconscious mind therefore believes that there has been a major reduction in stomach capacity, minimising the amount of food that can be consumed.
how many sessions does it take?
The research based on Andy's practice shows that the highest success rate occurs when the therapy is performed over 4 clinical sessions of 50 minutes. Some patients far exceed their weight loss goal, and in these cases a readjustment session can be offered to minimise weight loss after you have achieved your ideal weight. Maintaining a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) rating, generally between 20-25 on the BMI scale is a good gauge of your success.
is hypno-gastric band therapy safe?
Gastric band hypnotherapy is completely safe (based on Andy's clinical findings with his own patients), with no post therapy complications being reported by Andy's patients. It is also performed at a substantial lower cost than the surgical procedure.
Andy Garland is a leader in the field of Hypno-Gastric Band therapy, and as of March 2019 completed his 554th Hypno-Gastric Band. You can be guaranteed that his professional knowledge and expertise will help you lose the weight you desire.
It's important to remember that each person presenting for any form of therapy will respond in different ways, and therefore it is vital that you enter therapy with realistic expectations of the results you wish to achieve. Andy will discuss with you your personal expectations prior to you booking an appointment.
